The project Bellows reveals carefully framed glimpses, opening new ways of seeing a familiar landscape. The site of Peglio, shaped by its distinct natural character and marked by the presence of its inhabitants, stands as a quiet witness to time—layered with a rich and resonant history.
The new structure seeks to weave together past and present. It reflects the transience of both human life and material, while also showing how natural processes can quietly foster resilience and endurance.
The construction emerges through the careful addition of slender wooden elements, where the act of joining becomes central—an attempt to anchor the work within its place. Within the structure, a space for rest unfolds, gently guiding the gaze in a deliberate direction, recalling the quiet focus of a traditional bellows camera.
Yet the act of building is only one moment within a longer process—one that extends through the days of the festival and lingers in the memories of those who pass by.
